The club supports two Auskick centers at Heatherdale Reserve and HE Parker Reserve with around 100 junior participants.

NAB AFL Auskick is the best fun kids can have being active! In weekly sessions kids will explore the world of AFL, building football skills and playing in a safe and super fun setting. Expect small groups, heaps of games and parent/guardian involvement. Children can start playing NAB AFL Auskick in the year that they turn 5.

Who runs the Jets Auskick program?The Jets Juniors Football Club helps support two Auskick facilities. All our Auskick sessions are run by parents and volunteers. The NAB AFL Auskick program provides training materials and support for the clubs. The kids love seeing their parents help run the training drills and games. It gives parents a great introduction into junior football and being part of their children's development.

Where are the Jets Auskick centres located?The Jets support two Auskick centres out of Heatherdale Reserve in Mitcham and HE Parker Reserve in Heathmont.

What ages can participate?Children can start playing NAB AFL Auskick in the year that they turn 5. Most children remain until they turn 8 where they can progress into the Jets Junior Football Club who run teams in U8's for boys and U10's for girls.

What are the format of the sessions?Each session will start with the players divided up into ability groups. There will be football skills taught and games to encourage participation. Later in the sessions a modified game may take place where the players can demonstrate their new skills.

Are there opportunities to play at AFL games at half time?Yes, we are typically invited to an AFL game to play at half time throughout the season. Other opportunities to play at local league games are also available.

How much does it cost?The 2025 fees are $95 per player for the entire program.

When does it start?The Auskick program runs from May 1st to the end of July. Each session starts at 9am and runs for approximately 1 hour.
