It was one of the rare rounds where we didn’t have to loan players. We were missing 6 players & we came into the game fairly fresh with no footy or training for 2 weeks.
BUT, the girls were pretty good to start with. Handballing & running as requested, they managed to keep themselves warm.
A fairly defensive game, with the girls trying right to the end. Ella kicked her very first goal in a game of footy & came with less than a minute to go in the game!
I reckon if we had another minute or 2, we could have snuck in another goal to pinch the game.
We have 3 more rounds to go, where we will focus on all the things we have been practicing through the year – trapping the ball, marking, running to space, attacking the ball, etc etc
