Round 6 - Jets vs Chirnside Park - U10 Girls Match Report

Paul Telford - Coach

A little bit different this week for the girls. Just our 2nd game at home, we didn’t have to loan any players this week, & we had 2 of our more experienced players out.

Congratulations to Ashlee who played her very first game of football! AND, nearly kicked a goal with her very first kick!

With a slight breeze favouring the end that the slight slope of the ground favours, the bulk of the scoring was down one end of the ground.

And as the scores suggest, a much more even contest this week for the girls. It was great to see them run the game out once again when kicking against the breeze in the last quarter.

The centre set-ups worked well again. The link-up play was great to see again. Girls bringing other girls into the game.

I can gradually see our kicking improving & we took more marks in this game than any other game. So again, terrific to see natural improvement.

The other pleasing thing to see is those girls who don’t naturally get a lot of the ball, but when they do, they use it well.

Another home game next week before a weekend off due to the long weekend.
