In cold and windy conditions the Under 12 Girls travelled to Picketts Reserve to meet Ferntree Gully. Unfortunately they lost for the first time this season, but showed plenty of spirit, particularly later in the game.
Going into the match, we were 2 girls short and had to borrow some players. Ferntree Gully was a taller team with a number of experienced players, and started well scoring a number of goals in the first half.
After half time, the Jets started to find their rhythm and overcame their tentativeness of playing against bigger side by effectively shut down their scoring opportunities while also scoring a great goal on the run.
Congratulations to Amelie who celebrated her 50th game with a great performance and a fantastic banner.
It was only our second game in Premier Division having stepped up from 1st Division where the team had dominated. They are looking forward to some tougher games ahead and regaining their winning streak.

Home game this week with winter well and truly settled in.
Bring your winter woolies, heat up the hot water bottles, pull on the boots and come on down and watch some future AFLW players in action.
Go Jets!
